“Mr. Biden’s claims about delays in vaccine distribution are irresponsible and misleading. Researchers and clinicians at several companies are in the advanced stages of developing a safe and effective vaccine. The Trump administration will provide regulatory assistance and issue an emergency use authorization when appropriate. The U.S. military, together with federal health officials, are continuing to advance on a distribution plan in coordination with state and local health departments. Despite Joe Biden’s claims, such governmental infrastructure is not impacted by an election. Most of the officials taking part in the planning process are career government officials who are not connected to any particular administration. Mr. Biden is engaging in fear-mongering for partisan advantage.”
