Big Tech giants censor doctor’s Senate testimony on antiparasitic drug ivermectin Los Angeles, CA – America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) today slammed the decision by YouTube’s parent company Google to remove coronavirus-related US Senate testimony from its video-sharing platform. Dr. Pierre Kory, testifying in front of the Senate Homeland Security Committee in December, noted the positive findings of a clinical study in Argentina which tested the effectiveness of ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. More than a dozen other studies suggest that the antiparasitic drug, a widely available, cost-effective alternative for patients with mild to moderate disease, works when individuals are treated early after symptoms emerge, Dr. Kory’s testimony notes. AFLDS supports the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approving ivermectin and other early treatments for “off-label” or repurposed use to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, “Currently, as of December 14, 2020, the accumulating evidence demonstrating the safety and efficacy of ivermectin in COVID-19 strongly supports its immediate use on a risk/benefit calculation in the context of a pandemic.” Under FDA rules, there is no emergency use authorization for ivermectin as a COVID-related therapy. Said AFLDS member-physicians: “America’s Frontline Doctors have been recommending ivermectin for many months. The decision by YouTube to ban expert testimony about an FDA-approved drug is unconscionable. Patients deserve unfiltered and uncensored information so that they can make informed healthcare decisions for themselves. Instead, Google and other Big Tech firms are attempting to manage the narrative that no treatment alternatives exist for a virus with a 99.7% survival rate.
