The California Medical Board’s (CMB) mission is to protect the public. Instead the CMB has targeted innocent doctors, while protecting dangerous violent sex offenders, pedophiles, and other negligent doctors, leaving many patients victims to their crimes.
As previously reported, Dr. Gold and her legal team concluded a grueling 3-day long medical licensing hearing with the California Medical Board (CMB). A decision in this landmark free speech case is expected on or before December 15.
Doctors under “investigation” by the CMB – including Dr. Gold – have minimal constitutional or due process rights. The CMB can initiate an investigation, and then serve as judge, jury and executioner, controlling every aspect of the hearing process.
It’s deeply troubling that the California Medical Board chose to target an outstanding physician like Dr. Gold. The CMB spent tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars over a two-year witch-hunt in an effort to silence her. This massive misappropriation of resources by the government was harnessed against a single beloved physician without any patient care issues even being alleged. How is this possible?
Protecting Dangerous Doctors?
According to the CMB’s website, their mission is to “protect healthcare consumers and prevent harm through the proper licensing and regulation of physicians and surgeons...” but disturbing reports reveal otherwise; the CMB is often negligent in protecting the public, and has been so for years.
In their 2021 report, The LA Times’ analysis of medical board records showed it received nearly 90,000 complaints against doctors in the last decade from patients, nurses, fellow physicians and others. Of those, 3,100 were substantiated by the board’s in-house investigators and led to disciplinary action. Three-quarters ended in probation or a letter of reprimand. Only 439 — less than 0.5% of the original complaints — ended in licenses being revoked.
In several jaw-dropping examples of hypocrisy and double-standards, the CMB prosecutor claimed in closing legal arguments that they must “protect the public” from Dr. Simone Gold because she doesn’t have “insight” into her “poor judgment” and “criminal behavior” [referring to the misdemeanor trespass plea from J6], yet the CMB has no issue reinstating doctors with a history of sexual misconduct.
In a 2021 CBS interview, whistleblower and board member TJ Watkins, said he can't sleep at night because of the way the board does its business.
Does the CMB legitimately care about protecting the public as claimed in their mission statement? Or is the CMB seeking to project their own crimes on Dr. Gold while simultaneously attempting to silence her from speaking the truth in this time of mass deception.
Conclusion
Attorney Christine Rhee stated that the CMB must “protect the public” and “not just patients”. However, she clearly didn’t understand the irony of her argument.
By empowering the American people with life-saving information, and forming America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) and Goldcare, Dr. Gold has done more to help protect the public and save the lives of the American people than the CMB has ever done throughout the entirety of their existence.
Multiple witnesses came forward to attest to the many lives Dr. Gold has saved throughout her career. In contrast, no one has ever accused Attorney Rhee of saving any lives. And her baseless accusations against Dr. Gold were arrogant, condescending, and extremely disrespectful to a doctor with a high degree of moral integrity who has dedicated her entire life to saving lives.
Dr. Gold risked her career and personal safety to shine a light on the truth in an effort to save as many lives as possible. It’s becoming clearer by the day that the same cannot be said of The California Medical Board.
