<p id="">Attendees at the UN’s Conference of Parties (COP) COP29 climate conference in Azerbaijan are gorging on meat while demanding governments take measures to reduce meat consumption.</p><p id="">Climate extremists claim that since livestock emits methane through flatulence and other secretions, people must stop eating meat to save the planet. This is a major policy held by globalist boides like the UN and the World Economic Forum, as well as by billionaire Bill Gates and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/new-way-aoc-still-coming-your-hamburgers" id="">recommends</a> Americans eat fewer hamburgers.&nbsp;</p><h2 id="">Meat taxes and rations</h2><p id="">At the COP29 summit, which runs from November 11th to the 22nd, the True Animal Protein Price (TAPP) Coalition addressed participants about the need to cut down on meat consumption through a meat tax.</p><p id="">“It’s normal — when I damage the window of my neighbor, I have to repair this damage, but meat and dairy processors also have to pay for the damage they cause,” said TAPP Managing Director Jeroom Remmers last week.</p><p id="">“Our current food systems are incompatible with the Paris Climate Accords,” TAPP Public Affairs and Policy Officer Willem Branten declared, referring to the 2016 UN agreement in which member states pledged to enforce the climate agenda. “Vegan diets are projected to have only half of the climate footprint as meat eaters,” he added.</p><p id="">ClimateDepot.com Executive Director Marc Morano, who attended the conference, said “prominent and high-profile” participants have been suggesting a variety of methods to force a reduction in meat consumption, including meat rationing. World War II-style meat rationing is a measure that has been <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/media-push-for-wwii-style-rationing-to-fight-climate-change" id="">floated</a> by climate extremists in the legacy media.</p><p id="">Over 180 NGOs and governments <a href="https://www.tappcoalition.eu/nieuws/22741/50%2B-ngos-urge-global-action-on-meat-consumption-and-climate-change-ahead-of-cop29" id="">signed</a> a declaration ahead of the summit calling for a reduction in meat. At last year’s conference, the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) demanded countries cut back on meat for the climate.</p><h2 id="">No meat taxes or rations for climate attendees</h2><p id="">And, like at last year’s summit, this year’s attendees have been helping themselves to copious amounts of beef without a meat tax. Morano posted a video of himself having a beef hot dog and reported that the meat dishes at the conference are selling “like hotcakes,” far more than the vegetarian options. Videos show significantly more interest at meat-selling food stations than those advertising vegan or vegetarian offerings.</p><p id="">“They're serving beef hot dogs, they're serving burgers. I have the menus here. Attendees were given choices of “juicy beef” and “slabs of succulent meat,” barbecued chicken and steak, hamburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, shawarma, carne asada, Tex Mex chicken, birria, kebabs, “melt-in-your-mouth BBQ,” smoked meats, and more.</p><p id="">‍</p>

Meat dishes selling 'like hotcakes' at UN conference despite calls to restrict meat for taxpayers

<p id="">A Michigan woman who was terminated in 2022 for refusing the COVID-19 shots was awarded $12.7 million in damages.</p><p id="">Lisa Domski had been working as an IT specialist at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) for almost 40 years when the experimental mRNA vaccine was introduced. In October 2021, BCBSM notified its employees they had until December 8th to receive the injections or face termination, though it offered staff the option to apply for religious exemptions.</p><p id="">When Domski did, however, she was denied. She provided BCBSM with the name and number of her priest as well as a written statement explaining why taking the injections would conflict with her Catholic beliefs. On top of that, Domski was working from home and therefore posed no perceived risk to other employees.</p><p id="">BCBSM executives denied Domski’s request and threatened her with termination if she refused the shots. Domski stood her ground and was placed on an unpaid leave of absence that lasted nearly a month. On January 5, 2022, she was terminated after 38 years. BCBSM fired approximately 250 employees who had asked for religious exemptions.</p><p id="">Domski filed a complaint against BCBSM for religious discrimination. On November 8th, a Detroit jury awarded her $1.7 million in lost wages, $1 million in non-economic damages, and $10 million in punitive damages.</p><p id="">“This was a woman who was working from home in her basement office who wasn’t a threat to anybody and was completely fulfilling all of her job obligations for 38 years,” Domski’s attorney Jon Marko <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/catholic-woman-fired-refusing-covid-vaccine-wins-over-12m-michigan-court" id="">told</a><em id=""> Fox News.</em> “They made up their minds that they were going to discriminate against people who had sincerely held religious beliefs,” he added.&nbsp;</p><p id="">BCBSM, for its part, said it was “disappointed” in the verdict and signaled it may appeal the decision.</p><p id="">“While Blue Cross respects the jury process and thanks the individual jurors for their service, we are disappointed in the verdict,” the insurer said. “Blue Cross is reviewing its legal options and will determine its path forward in the coming days.”</p><p id="">The verdict is the latest to set a precedent favoring compensation for workers who were terminated over their vaccination status.</p><h2 id="">California jury awards unvaccinated workers $1 million each</h2><p id="">Two weeks earlier, a San Francisco jury <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/jury-awards-unvaccinated-transit-workers-in-san-francisco-over-1m-each" id="">awarded</a> six rail transit workers who were fired for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine $1 million each in damages.</p><p id="">The former employees had been working for the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system when the vaccine mandate was imposed in 2021. They declined the shots on religious grounds, but BART refused to allow them religious accommodation. All six were terminated, including one who had served the rail line for over 30 years and had a decade of perfect attendance.</p><p id="">In 2022, the fired workers sued BART through the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI), a non-profit legal defense organization. BART argued that the plaintiffs’ refusal to be vaccinated was for secular reasons, not religious ones. It also tried to claim that the workers’ lack of vaccination would have caused “undue hardship” to the department, which would have justified denying religious accommodation.</p><p id="">But a federal jury in the US District Court for the Northern District of California disagreed. On October 23rd, it ordered BART to pay $7.8 million in damages. The amount included compensation for lost wages with an additional million dollars added for each plaintiff.&nbsp;</p><p id="">Months ago, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee paid a woman who was terminated for being unvaccinated almost $700,000 in a settlement.</p><p id="">‍</p>

<p id="">As part of its goal to eliminate racism by 2030, the Welsh government has created an “anti-racism” <a href="https://www.gov.wales/anti-racist-wales-action-plan-2024-update" id="">action plan</a> that includes changing the “beliefs and behaviour of the White majority.”</p><p id="">In a forward to the document, Welsh First Minister Eluned Morgan reaffirmed her “commitment to building an inclusive and equitable society for all our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people and communities.”</p><p id="">The action plan, which was updated last week from its 2022 version, demands “shifts in the beliefs and behaviour of the White majority” at the societal, organizational, and individual levels. This would be achieved by training school children and government employees in “anti-racism,” considered by many to be a euphemism for anti-white discrimination. The government aims to do the same with young people in Wales by forcing those who work with youth to program them with “anti-racism” propaganda.&nbsp;</p><h2 id="">Statues of white men are ‘offensive’</h2><p id="">Another focus will be on “decolonising museum collections,” which previous government reports suggest means dismantling statues of white men. <em id="">The Telegraph </em><a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/11/16/welsh-government-vows-to-change-beliefs-of-white-majority/" id="">reports</a> that government guidance issued last year claims statues of “powerful, older, able-bodied white men” are “offensive” to a diverse public. Other government-proposed “anti-racist” initiatives have aimed to provide “anti-racism” training only in buildings that are not “racist,” to make libraries more “inclusive,” and to create “dog-free areas.”&nbsp;</p><p id="">Art galleries and museums will be expected to tell the “right historical narrative” that provides a “decolonised account of the past.” They must “tell stories through the lens of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people’s experiences,” particularly emphasizing “injustices” against them by white people.</p><p id="">Non-governmental organizations funded by the Welsh government will be required to meet “anti-racism” standards set by the action plan.</p><p id="">“The overall impact will be the legacy of the Plan as we see shifts in knowledge, beliefs, experiences, and behaviour as well systemic and cultural changes and hear the voices of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people confirming tangible changes to their lived experiences. This will mean we have achieved the vision of an anti-racist Wales,” the document concluded.</p><p id="">The Welsh government’s Race Disparity Evidence Unit will monitor the plan’s implementation to check whether there is a reduction in racism.</p><p id="">“We are committed to creating an anti-racist nation by 2030,” a Welsh government spokesman said. “Our anti-racist Wales action plan is built on the values of anti-racism and calls for zero tolerance of all racial inequality.”</p><p id="">‍</p>

<p>A recent <a href="https://justthenews.com/sites/default/files/2024-11/GCM24-1112%20Topline%20-%20Transgender%20Issues.pdf" id="">survey</a> from Napolitan News Service has found that Americans overwhelmingly oppose gender ideology, including medical mutilation procedures for kids, allowing men in women’s spaces, and sexualizing children.</p><p id="">The poll of 1,000 registered voters conducted last week found that 75% of Americans said men should not be allowed in women’s sports, bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers, while 13% say they should.&nbsp;</p><p id="">On whether schools should teach children about exploring or changing gender identities, 68% of voters said no and nineteen percent said yes. Of those who said yes, 35% believe gender ideology should be taught beginning in middle school, 32% believe it should start in high school, 16% said late elementary, and 13% believe it should be taught in grades K-3.</p><p id="">When asked if teachers should be required to notify parents when children want to change their names, pronouns, or gender identities, 73% of respondents said yes while 17% said no.</p><p id="">Lastly, 72% of Americans think it should be illegal to provide medical mutilation procedures such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or genital surgeries to children under 18. Eighteen percent of respondents said they support it. The number of Americans who oppose these procedures, which includes 86% of Republicans and 58% of Democrats, has jumped 10 points since August, <a href="https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/polling/mon-most-americans-across-political-isle-are-against-transgender-surgery" id="">according</a> to <em id="">Just the News.</em></p><p id="">Overwhelming <a href="https://res.cloudinary.com/aflds/image/upload/v1720808982/Medical_Mutilation_White_Paper_1804e8ca1a.pdf?updated_at=2024-07-12T18:29:43.454Z" id="">evidence</a> shows that these procedures — which some refer to as “gender-affirming care” — often sterilize children, deprive them of sexual satisfaction in adulthood, and cause serious psychological and emotional harm.&nbsp;</p><h2 id="">SCOTUS to rule whether medical mutilation can be banned</h2><p id="">The legality of medical mutilation interventions for kids is currently being argued before the US Supreme Court in <em id="">United States v. Skrmetti</em>.</p><p id="">The Department of Justice filed the lawsuit against the State of Tennessee after the state’s legislature passed SB1 last year. SB1 is a law that prohibits healthcare providers from performing any procedures on children to promote a “gender identity.” A physician or hospital that gives a child puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or performs sex change surgery can face a $25,000 fine per violation, professional discipline, and civil lawsuits.</p><p id="">The Biden-Harris administration is arguing that the ban violates the 14th Amendment by discriminating based on sex, even though the law applies to male and female minors equally. The US Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case, and a decision is expected by July 2025.</p><p>‍</p>
