<p id="">Under new laws proposed by British Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, companies may be pressured to hire employees to police their coworkers’ conversations.</p><p id="">The laws would make businesses liable for the “harmful behavior” of their employees, which includes bullying, harassment, and discrimination. If an employer fails to take all reasonable steps to prevent such behavior, they may be exposed to legal action.&nbsp;</p><p id="">Critics say this is likely to result in firms hiring diversity officers to monitor office banter and water cooler talk. The <em id="">Daily Mail </em><a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14878531/Angela-Rayner-BANTER-POLICE-office.html" id="">reports</a> that such “banter police” are already waiting in the wings. Inclusive Employers, a consulting company that trains businesses to be DEI-compliant, warns: “Banter, when unchecked, can escalate into harmful behaviour, including bullying, harassment, and discrimination... Harmless banter can quickly cross the line and lead to more serious issues.”</p><p id="">If passed, these laws would scuttle efforts by the Right-wing Tory Party to slash government spending on DEI.</p><p id="">“Pressuring private firms to hire diversity officers to pursue woke agendas has so far gone under the radar – but it will be the final nail in the coffin for many,” warned Shadow Business Secretary Andrew Griffith. “Innocent office banter will be spied on by wokerati thought police. These banter tsars will have a chilling effect in workplaces. We can already see in Rayner’s own Whitehall department how taxpayers are footing the bill for this divisive political agenda,” Griffith added.</p><h2 id="">The state of free speech in the UK</h2><p id="">The UK’s crackdown on free speech has become so aggressive that Trump officials in April <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/trump-administration-mulls-granting-asylum-to-brits" id="">considered</a> granting asylum to British refugees. British taxpayers have been arrested and jailed for posting social media content critical of gender ideology, Islam, migrants, and women. Others have been <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/british-police-accost-woman-for-standing-outside-abortion-facility" id="">arrested</a> for thinking prayerful thoughts near abortion facilities. The Communications Act of 2003 criminalizes any electronic “message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene, or menacing character.” The Online Safety Act of 2023, set to take effect this year, makes it an offense to post “harmful content” or false information that could cause “non-trivial psychological harm” to users.</p><p id="">UK officials have been open about targeting non-citizens for free speech. Last year, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said: “We will throw the full force of the law at people. And whether you’re in this country committing crimes on the streets or committing crimes from further afield online, we will come after you.” When a reporter asked Crowley whether billionaire Elon Musk would be guilty of a crime for posting “offensive” social media content from the US, Crowley responded: “You can be guilty of offenses of incitement, of stirring up racial hatred, there are numerous terrorist offenses regarding the publishing of material.” Prime Minister Keir Starmer threatened social media users saying: “I guarantee you will regret taking part in this disorder whether directly or those whipping up this action online.”</p><p id="">British police <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/orwellian-uk-police-spend-60-000-hours-a-year-on-non-criminal-hate" id="">spend</a> an estimated 60,000 hours a year investigating reports of non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs), according to a study last year. While not criminal offenses, NCHIs are incidents where someone belonging to a protected class feels that they were treated with hostility. An NCHI may be reported to police if a person claims that someone else treated them with ill will, spite, contempt, prejudice, unfriendliness, antagonism, resentment, or dislike based on their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or transgender identity.</p><p id="">‍</p>

<p id="">The US Supreme Court hit back at a rogue federal judge who defied its pro-Trump ruling last month.</p><p id="">On June 23rd, the high court issued a 6-3 decision granting the Trump administration the ability to deport criminal illegal aliens to countries other than their own. The decision tore down an injunction by US District Judge Brian E. Murphy in Massachusetts, who had blocked the Trump administration from deporting illegals to third countries without first allowing them to raise claims under the Convention Against Torture (CAT).&nbsp;</p><p id="">Even after the Supreme Court’s ruling, however, Judge Murphy refused to back down and insisted his injunction remained in effect. The Trump administration therefore filed a Motion for Clarification with the Supreme Court, asking it to “make clear beyond any doubt that the government can immediately proceed with the third-country removals of the criminal aliens.” The government called Judge Murphy’s decision “a lawless act of defiance that, once again, disrupts sensitive diplomatic relations and slams the brakes on the executive’s lawful efforts to effectuate third-country removals.”</p><h2 id="">Even a dissenting justice agrees</h2><p id="">On Thursday, the Supreme Court granted the government’s motion, clarifying that Judge Murphy had indeed defied the nation’s highest court.</p><p id="">“[Judge Murphy’s] order cannot now be used to enforce an injunction that our stay rendered unenforceable,” the <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/24a1153_2co3.pdf" id="">order</a> read. Even liberal Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, who dissented in the Supreme Court’s original decision, concurred.&nbsp;</p><p id="">“I voted to deny the Government’s previous stay application in this case, and I continue to believe that this Court should not have stayed the District Court’s April 18 order enjoining the Government from deporting non-citizens to third countries without notice or a meaningful opportunity to be heard,” Justice Kagan wrote.</p><p id="">“But a majority of this Court saw things differently, and I do not see how a district court can compel compliance with an order that this Court has stayed,” she said.</p><p id="">Justices Sotomayor and Jackson issued a blistering dissent.</p><p id="">“Today’s order clarifies only one thing: Other litigants must follow the rules, but the administration has the Supreme Court on speed dial,” Sotomayor wrote.</p><p id="">The case centered on eight criminal illegal aliens who the Trump administration attempted to deport to South Sudan. After Judge Murphy blocked the move, the men were held at a US naval base in Djibouti, another country in East Africa, while the administration fought the decision in court.</p><p id="">‍</p>

<p id="">Violent protests against American tourists and immigrants erupted in Mexico City on Friday, with rioters destroying stores and threatening foreigners.</p><p id="">Demonstrators gathered to protest mass tourism and gentrification by Americans visiting or moving to Mexico. According to <em id="">NBC, </em>Mexico City has seen a large influx of Americans since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. Protesters railed against “gringos,” a slur that refers to Americans, and demanded tighter tourism and immigration policies.</p><p id="">“Gringos, stop stealing our home,” read a sign worn by a protester. Another rioter was seen spray-painting the words “Kill a gringo” on a wall. Others destroyed and looted storefronts, damaged a dining area, and began screaming at foreigners in the area. Some patrons were seen huddled on the floor of a Starbucks as it was attacked by rioters. <p id="">Houston Mayor John Whitmire said on Sunday he is permanently removing Sade Perkins from the city’s Food Insecurity Board after she cheered the deaths of White children in deadly flash floods.</p><p id="">The floods that struck Texas Hill Country over the weekend have so far claimed over 80 lives, including 28 children. Twenty-seven campers and counselors from Camp Mystic, a summer camp for Christian girls, are among the dead.</p><p id="">Perkins, who was appointed by former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner to the Houston Food Insecurity Board in October 2023, took to social media on Saturday to suggest the children deserved to die because they were White.&nbsp;</p><p id="">“I know I’m probably going to get cancelled for this, but Camp Mystic is a Whites-only, girls’ Christian camp,” Perkins said in a TikTok video. “They don’t even have a token Asian, they don’t have a token Black person. It is a all-White, White-only, conservative Christian camp. If you ain’t White, you ain’t right, you ain’t getting in, you ain’t going. Period. And I think that context needs to be said in this matter. ”</p><p id="">Perkins emphasized that she wasn’t saying “we don’t want the girls [who are still missing] to be found,” but claimed that their parents would not have cared about another race.</p><p id="">“If this were a group of Hispanic girls out there, this would not be getting this type of coverage that they’re getting. Her video racked up hundreds of thousands of views and received thousands of comments. When a user commented that there would be “consequences” for her controversial remarks, Perkins replied: “Consequences for what?? Maybe it was gods will to wash them lil c***s away,” adding laughing emojis.</p><p id="">On Sunday, Mayor Whitmire said Perkins’ remarks were “deeply inappropriate and have no place in a decent society, especially as families grieve the confirmed deaths and the ongoing search for the missing.” He confirmed he has no plans to reappoint Perkins, whose term ended in January, and said that “the City is taking steps to remove her permanently from the board.”</p><p id="">But in a second video, Perkins doubled down on her remarks and expressed her hatred for White people and President Donald Trump. They deny climate change. May they get what they voted for.
