A district court on Friday upheld President Donald Trump’s decision to axe the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), a rogue financial agency that has been accused of widespread corruption.The CFPB, founded by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), sets its own budget and is paid directly by the Federal Reserve, bypassing Congress. While it claims to safeguard the interests of consumers, the bureau has been widely criticized for exercising totalitarian control over the banking industry by stifling competition and policing non-financial businesses.On February 1st, President Trump fired CFPB head Rohit Chopra. Acting director Russell Vought then froze CFPB operations and shut down its headquarters, sparking a lawsuit from the National Treasury Employees Union. Although Judge Amy Berman Jackson ordered the Trump administration to restart the agency, the decision was reversed last week by the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.The CFPB is the only federal agency to bypass Congress for its funding. In October 2022, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals said that this “perpetual insulation from Congress’ appropriations power, including the express exemption from congressional review of its funding, renders the Bureau ‘no longer dependent, and as a result, no longer accountable’ to the Congress and ultimately, to the people.”<h2 id="">How the CFPB is ‘terrorizing’ the financial industry</h2>The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/another-trump-win-court-rules-president-can-indeed-dismantle-consumer-financial-protection-bureau?author=Hank+Berrien&category=undefined&elementPosition=7&row=3&rowHeadline=Latest+News&rowType=Vertical+Carousel&title=Another+Trump+Win%3A+Court+Rules+President+Can+Indeed+Dismantle+Consumer+Financial+Protection+Bureau" id="">reports</a> that in 2015, Investor’s Business Daily accused the CFPB of “diverting potentially millions of dollars in settlement payments for alleged victims of lending bias to a slush fund for poverty groups tied to the Democratic Party” and planning to “create a so-called Civil Penalty Fund for its own shakedown operations targeting financial institutions.”One of the tactics CFPB uses to control industries is debanking certain businesses. Crypto companies, for example, find it difficult to obtain bank accounts at major banks because of CFPB rules. Billionaire startup investor Marc Andreessen explained this to podcaster Joe Rogan in December.“We have this thing called the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, CFPB, which is sort of Elizabeth Warren’s personal agency that she gets to control,” said Andreessen. “And it’s an independent agency that gets to run and do whatever it wants, right? And if you read the Constitution, there is no such thing as an independent agency, and yet there it is.”Andreessen said the CFPB acts on Sen. Warren’s whim and is able to “terrorize financial institutions, prevent new competition, new startups that want to compete with the big banks . . . Just terrorizing anybody who tries to do anything new in financial services.”“This is where a lot of the debanking comes from, is these agencies,” he continued. “So debanking is when you as either a person or your company are literally kicked out of the banking system.”The investor explained that agencies like the CFPB allow the federal government to skirt the Constitution:<blockquote id="">This is where the government and the companies get intertwined. And then the private company banks do it because they’re expected to. But the government gets to say we didn’t do it. It was the private company that did it. And of course JP Morgan can decide who they want to have as customers, because they’re a private company. And so it’s this it’s this sleight of hand that happens it — basically it’s a privatized sanctions regime that lets bureaucrats do to American citizens the same thing that we do to Iran. Enacting this legislation would save American taxpayers billions of dollars and I call on the Senate to expeditiously take it up and pass it.”Rep. Costco is refusing to stock its pharmacies with the abortion pill mifepristone, despite public pressure and threats.“Our position at this time not to sell mifepristone, which has not changed, is based on the lack of demand from our members and other patients, who we understand generally have the drug dispensed by their medical providers,” Costco said in a statement on Thursday <a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/costco-not-sell-abortion-pill-mifepristone-its-us-pharmacy-stores-aug-14-2025-08-14" id="">quoted</a> by Reuters.Last year, New York City Comptroller Brad Lander <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/nyc-forces-pharmacies-to-dispense-abortion-pill" id="">sent</a> letters to Costco, Walmart, Albertsons, McKesson, and Kroger, threatening to withdraw New York City pension fund investments unless they start stocking the pill. The pension funds, which hold over $294.6 billion in assets, owned over $1.32 billion in shares among the five retailers as of last year.&nbsp;“By failing to become certified mifepristone dispensers, these pharmacy giants put both women’s reproductive health care and investors money at risk,” Lander said. “The boards of Costco, Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, and McKesson should follow CVS and Walgreens and immediately take the necessary steps to receive certification to dispense the medication mifepristone in states where it is legal. Making mifepristone available benefits customers and employees, increases sales, and generates long-term shareholder value.”&nbsp;But Lander’s threat did not have its intended effect. Kroger, the country’s second-largest grocery chain, removed mifepristone from its online pharmacy months later. Sam’s Club did the same. Women who wanted a chemical abortion could only obtain the pill in clinics, hospitals, and medical offices. When the FDA removed the requirement, the agency was met with legal challenges that were ultimately struck down last year by the US Supreme Court, which sided with the FDA.Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Marty Makary said in April that the agency has “no plans” to restrict access to mifepristone, despite overwhelming evidence that the drug is causing serious damage to women who take it.In April, the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) <a href="https://eppc.org/publication/stop-harming-women/" id="">published</a> the largest-ever study on mifepristone. Using an insurance claims database, researchers analyzed 865,727 mifepristone abortions between 2017 and 2023. They found that within 45 days of taking the pill, 10.93% of women experienced serious adverse events such as sepsis, infection, cardiac issues, anaphylaxis, or hemorrhage. EPPC notes that this rate is at least 22 times higher than the 0.5% rate displayed on the drug label.The FDA’s prescribing label for mifepristone warns that between 2.9% and 4.6% of women who take the pill require ER visits.Last year, a team of researchers from the Charlotte Lozier Institute teamed up with physicians from the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists to conduct a <a href="https://aditum.org/journals/international-journal-of-epidemiology-and-public-health-research/article-in-press/1250" id="">study</a> on mifepristone by analyzing ER visits. The researchers selected four cohorts of women: women with no pregnancies, women who gave birth, women who had surgical abortions, and women who had chemical abortions by taking mifepristone. Using data from 2004 to 2015, they looked for any increase in ER visits by these women within 30 days of their outcomes. The group with no pregnancies was analyzed according to all their visits across the 11-year period. They discovered that ER visits among women who gave birth increased by 9.2%, among women with no pregnancies by 42.8%, among women who had surgical abortions by 280.4%, and among women who took mifepristone by 2,649.7%. There was a similar scale for ER visits coded as “severe” or “critical.”Planned Parenthood <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/abortion/the-abortion-pill/how-safe-is-the-abortion-pill" id="">describes</a> mifepristone as “very safe” and CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/health/abortion-pill-safety-dg/index.html" id="">says</a> it’s even safer than low-risk drugs like penicillin.&nbsp;<h2 id="">Who makes mifepristone?</h2>When the FDA approved mifepristone in 2000, it took great care to conceal certain information. All documents related to the approval have been redacted so that government employee names and the location of the manufacturer, Danco Laboratories, remain hidden.To this day, the location of Danco Laboratories is not known to the public. The company uses a P.O. box as its address, is not listed on any public exchanges, and refuses to disclose the identities of its executives. <a href="https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-04-13/why-youve-never-heard-of-the-company-behind-the-abortion-pill" id="">According</a> to the LA Times, Danco says this is because it fears violence from pro-life groups, though there have been no reports of attacks on Pfizer, which manufactures misoprostol. Misoprostol is a pill used together with mifepristone as part of the chemical abortion regimen.‍

Children’s minds are now officially in the crosshairs of one of the most out-of-control state governments in America. Under a controversial new measure just signed into law by far-left Governor J.B. Pritzker, government schools in Illinois will begin mandatory “mental health” testing of all students each year, starting in 3rd grade.Critics are sounding the alarm. Among other concerns, they are warning that Big Brother cannot be trusted to pry into the minds of children. From education leaders and privacy advocates to psychiatrists and medical professionals, opponents of the plan say it will intrude into the most sensitive areas of a child’s life.“(Screenings) provide early identification and intervention, so that those who are struggling get the help that they need as soon as possible,” Gov. Pritzker, a leading proponent of transgenderism, said at the signing ceremony. “They improve academic and social outcomes. They help us break down the stigma that, too often, is a barrier to seeking help.”One major goal is to “normalize” so-called “mental health care” for children and adolescents, explained Democrat State Senator Laura Fine, the chief sponsor of the bill. “The screenings will be designed to catch the early signs of anxiety, depression or trauma before it becomes a crisis or, in some cases, sometimes too late,” she said.While Illinois is the first state to do it with <a href="https://www.ilga.gov/Legislation/BillStatus?DocTypeID=SB&DocNum=1560&GAID=18&SessionID=114&LegID=160264" id="">SB 1560</a>, Big Pharma lobbyists hoping to profit from drugging children are working overtime to get similar schemes passed in other jurisdictions. Even some Republican-run state governments are moving in that direction. And with pharmaceutical interests pouring money into political campaigns, the clock is ticking. &nbsp;Illinois State Superintendent Tony Sanders, a radical leftist, claimed the program was critical to helping children succeed. “Mental health is essential to academic readiness and lifelong success,” he argued in a statement released after the legislation was signed into law, as if children never succeeded before the program was launched.“Too often, we only recognize a student’s distress when it becomes a crisis,” continued Sanders. “With universal screening, we shift from reaction to prevention. The earlier we identify a need, the better support we can provide to that student to help them thrive — in school and in life.”The exact details of the program will be worked out by the state board of education over the next year. Before September 2026, the bureaucracy is supposed to create “guidance” on the screenings, referrals for follow ups by mental-health professionals, and protecting the privacy of student data. Parents can opt out under the bill, for now. It all begins in 2027.Celebrated actress and author Sam Sorbo, a prominent advocate of home education and a vocal critic of government schools, told The Newman Report that the new mental-health testing regime was a recipe for disaster. &nbsp;“Our schools have become even more dangerous than before,” she warned.“Instead of working to improve academic results in our schools, they seek to delve into the personal, private, intimate details of their young charges, potentially learning key information to use against them or to groom them at some later date,” continued Sorbo, whose most recent book is Parents’ Guide to Homeschool: Making Education Easy and Fun.Legendary Harvard-trained psychiatrist Dr. Peter Breggin, celebrated worldwide for his war on quackery such as lobotomies and electro-shock “therapy,” sounded the alarm about the Illinois plan as well. Among other concerns, he blasted the collaboration between Big Pharma and organized psychiatry to invade schools and “make a market out of children.”“This will lead to the mass medicalization of children — even more than is already being done to them — and create a storehouse on distorted psychiatric data and diagnoses that can ruin their lives,” he told this writer as the plan was being considered last year, pointing to various diagnoses used by psychiatrists to drug children unnecessarily.Dr. Breggin warned that the psychiatric drugs are neuro-toxic chemicals that do not address the real causes of mental problems. Indeed, as acknowledged by the manufacturers themselves, many of those drugs have horrific side effects including suicidal and homicidal ideation — the very things they are supposed to help treat.The Illinois scheme will produce even more “mass medicalization of children,” with all of the negative implications that come with it. “Nothing is worse than telling a child they have a mental problem, first because it demoralizes them, and second because the problem, if there is one, is corrected by improving how we relate to them,” he said.“The idea of screening school children for mental problems is equivalent to screening them for the drug market,” continued Breggin, a longtime opponent of the psychiatric drugs. “This will stigmatize increasing numbers of children, lead many of them to taking dangerous psychiatric drugs, and push some into a lifetime ‘career’ as mental patients.”The suggestion that Big Pharma is looking for more “patients” to milk is backed by data. Illinois politicians, like their counterparts across the country, receive enormous campaign contributions from pharmaceutical companies.
