<p id="">A San Francisco bookstore that claims to be “firmly opposed to banning books” has banned the Harry Potter series from their store because of remarks made by author JK Rowling against gender ideology.</p><p id="">The Booksmith is a far-Left bookstore located in San Francisco’s famed Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. It is a proud member of Books Not Bans, a nonprofit activist organization dedicated to distributing LGBT books across the country. These books are not only offensive to many faiths but are often highly sexualized—including sexual depictions of minors—and aimed at children. <em id="">All Boys Aren’t Blue, </em>for example, contains graphic descriptions of anal rape and incest involving minors.</p><p id="">Many parents have lobbied to restrict such books from children due to their adult nature, a move gender activists decry as “book banning.” Books Not Bans, which boasts it has delivered “crates of queer, affirmative, <em id="">necessary </em>books all over the country,” says it has distributed <em id="">All Boys Aren’t Blue </em>to 20 organizations countrywide.</p><p id="">But despite its activism against book banning, The Booksmith has banned the Harry Potter books from its shelves. On its <a href="https://www.booksmith.com/" id="">website</a>, the store has displayed a screenshot of a sign that appears to have been taped to one of the shelves, reading: “Are you looking for Harry Potter? In May of 2025, author JK Rowling publicly committed to using her private wealth from the Harry Potter series to develop the <em id="">J.K. Rowling Women’s Fund, </em>an organization dedicated to removing transgender rights ‘in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces.’"</p><p id="">Rowling has been vocal against the transgender movement’s forcible hijacking of women’s sports and spaces, such as locker rooms, bathrooms, and other areas designated for females only. She has also expressed passionate opposition to the medical mutilation of minors, packaged as “gender-affirming care.”</p><p id="">“With this announcement, we’ve decided to stop carrying her books. We don’t know exactly what her ‘women’s fund’ will entail, but we know that we aren’t going to be a part of it,” the sign continued. “As a group of queer booklovers, we also had our adolescences shaped by wizards and elves. Look at us. It’s obvious. If you or someone you love wants to dive into the world of Harry Potter, we suggest doing so by buying used copies of these books.”</p><h2 id="">‘Entitled, bratty, tantruming little Veruca Salts’</h2><p id="">Rowling has been repeatedly attacked, threatened, and subjected to boycotts for her views. One LGBT activist messaged her, saying: “You are a stupid and horrible woman. My kids and I enjoyed burning your books and roasting marshmallows over your pathetic books.” The billionaire author replied: “I get the same royalties whether you read them or burn them. <p id="">Jaguar’s sales have dropped dramatically following the company’s woke rebrand last year.&nbsp;</p><p id="">In November, Jaguar unveiled a new logo and ad campaign that replaced its masculine vibe with one that reflected radical Left ideologies like gender orthodoxy and DEI. The luxury brand removed its iconic leaping cat, rounded out its logo, and released an ad featuring multiracial androgynous people wearing brightly colored clothing. The ad, called “Copy Nothing,” contained other high-sounding taglines such as “live vivid” and “delete ordinary.” It did not feature any vehicles, prompting Tesla CEO Elon Musk to ask, “Do you sell cars?”</p><p id="">In April, Jaguar sold just 49 vehicles in Europe compared to 1,961 in the same month the previous year—a 97.5% drop. <a href="https://www.designrush.com/news/jaguar-sold-49-cars-amid-ev-rebrand-dealer-standstill" id="">According</a> to <em id="">Design Rush, </em>this is the largest year-on-year sales decline for a premium car brand in recent history.</p><p id="">The dramatic downturn is being attributed to the rebranding and the company’s pivot to electric vehicles despite dwindling consumer demand for EVs.</p><p id="">Meanwhile, other luxury car brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi have maintained market stability, selling up to 75,000 vehicles in Europe during April.</p><p id="">The reception to Jaguar’s new brand was so negative that the company launched a review of its contract with Accenture Song, the ad agency that created the campaign.</p><h2 id="">A rebranding driven by DEI</h2><p id="">Jaguar Marketing Director Santino Pietrosanti, a homosexual who supports Black Lives Matter, proudly announced the rebranding as “a transformative journey . . . driven by our belief in diversity [and] inclusion.” During a speech at Virgin Atlantic’s Attitude Awards in November, Pietrosanti tied the new brand to the “LGBTQ+ community.”</p><p id="">“In a couple of weeks, you will see an all-new Jaguar turn up like never before, and we're not just talking about new cars,” Pietrosanti told attendees. “We are talking about all new ways of thinking and embracing the full spectrum of human potential and creativity, because Jaguar has always stood for fearless originality, striving to be a copy of nothing. And we believe that every person has the potential to be something unique, something original, and that's what makes us strong. And at Jaguar, we proudly stand with the LGBTQ+ community because we know that originality and creativity thrives in spaces where people are free to be themselves.</p><p id="">The marketing director added that “as a young gay man” it was his dream to work at a car company. <p id="">The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has implemented restrictions to prevent advertising giants Omnicom Group and Interpublic Group (IPG) from creating a censorship cartel.</p><p id="">Omnicom Group sparked antitrust concerns last year when it moved to acquire IPG in a $13.5 billion deal, making it the largest global ad agency holding group by revenue, <a href="https://www.axios.com/2025/06/23/ftc-approves-omnicom-ipg-merger" id="">according</a> to <em id="">Axios. </em>The FTC approved the deal last week with provisions "that prevent Omnicom from engaging in collusion or coordination to direct advertising away from media publishers based on the publishers' political or ideological viewpoints." Omnicom will also be prohibited from directing advertising dollars to publishers based on their political or ideological views.</p><p id="">The FTC’s demands are an attempt to prevent ad giants from creating another cartel like GARM, which dictated the political and ideological landscape until August 2024.</p><p id="">The Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) was formed in 2019 by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), a coalition of some of the world’s largest corporations controlling approximately $1 trillion in annual ad spending—roughly 90% of all global advertising. The WFA, whose members include IBM, PepsiCo, Proctor &amp; Gamble, AB InBev, Nestlé, and L'Oréal, created GARM to address “harmful content” and “misinformation.” Predictably, these labels were applied to any publishers that expressed conservative viewpoints.</p><p id="">The year it was created, GARM became a flagship partner of the World Economic Forum (WEF) to “leverage” the WEF’s “existing network.”</p><p id="">GARM used the threat of boycotts to force media outlets and social media platforms to suppress content opposing the woke agenda under the pretext of “combating misinformation.” The cartel punished disobedient companies by withholding nearly all of the world’s ad revenue, forcing them to comply with totalitarian ideologies like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and gender orthodoxy. Most platforms complied with GARM’s woke mandates. Exceptions included video streaming platform Rumble and Elon Musk’s X. The cartel was disbanded in August after a legal challenge from X.</p><h2 id="">The Joe Rogan incident</h2><p id="">In 2022, GARM threatened Spotify with an advertising boycott after podcast host Joe Rogan suggested that young, healthy people should not take the COVID-19 vaccine. According to internal communications, GARM co-founder and leader Rob Rakowitz knew that ordering a boycott of Spotify could get GARM “into hot water by way of anticompetitive and collusive behaviors.”</p><p id="">Rakowitz, an avowed globalist, has previously complained about the US Constitution, which he said is a “literal law from 230 years ago (made by white men exclusively).” Mostly, he has been concerned with the constitutional right to freedom of speech. In an email to WFA CEO Stephan Loerke, Rakowitz was upset that “[p]eople are advocating for freedom of speech online” with anonymity.</p><p id="">“Mr. Rakowitz’s power comes from the members of GARM and their advertising dollars,” explained a report from the House Judiciary Committee. “Because power lies with the members, when members communicate an opinion to Mr. Rakowitz, he is likely to communicate that opinion on to the platforms. Ultimately, when platforms receive the message from Mr. Rakowitz, the companies have the choice to cede to his demands or risk losing their advertising revenue.”&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p id="">Coca-Cola was especially concerned about Rogan’s take on the COVID-19 shots, telling Rakowitz that this “particular issue (misinformation) does not exactly fit cleanly into [Coca-Cola’s] policy.”</p><h2 id="">‘Taking on Elon Musk’</h2><p id="">GARM boasted in 2022 about “taking on Elon Musk” shortly after he purchased Twitter (now X), which was a member of GARM at the time. One GARM corporation asked to “arrange a meeting and hear more about [GARM’s] perspectives about the Twitter situation and a possible boycott from many companies.” After holding extensive briefings on Musk, GARM launched a boycott of X and tanked the social media company’s advertising revenue by 80%.&nbsp;</p><p id="">Even as they celebrated the hit to X’s earnings, WFA and GARM members discussed more strategies to destroy the social media platform that came under Elon Musk's control. One strategy was to send Musk a list of demands regarding which content should or should not be allowed on the platform. If all demands were not met by a specific deadline, GARM would expel Twitter from the cartel and attack it in the media.</p><p id="">Another GARM member expressed concern over Musk’s release of <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/wikipedia-considers-deleting-twitter-files-page" id="">The Twitter Files</a>, which exposed a joint censorship operation between the former Twitter administration and the Biden White House.&nbsp;</p><h2 id="">Blocking conservative news outlets</h2><p id="">The cartel further discussed strategies on how to block Right-leaning news outlets like <em id="">Fox News, Breitbart, </em>and <em id="">The Daily Wire. </em>A member of GARM’s steering committee wrote that he “hated their ideology and bulls**t.” However, he admitted that his corporation “couldn’t really justify blocking them for misguided opinion[s]” so instead “watched them very carefully and it didn’t take long for them to cross the line.”</p><p id="">To back up their claims about conservative sites spewing misinformation, GARM worked with the Biden State Department-funded <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/congress-launches-probe-into-government-backed-misinformation-group" id="">NewsGuard</a>, which billed itself as a “neutral” and “nonpartisan” news rating site. NewsGuard consistently rates conservative news outlets as “disinformation” while rating Leftist sites, and even false claims, as trustworthy.</p><p id="">GARM also launched a campaign against <em id="">Fox News </em>for its coverage of Kyle Rittenhouse, a young man who shot and killed two rioters in self-defense in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A jury acquitted Rittenhouse of all charges. But when <em id="">Fox News </em>said Rittenhouse was not guilty of murder, the WFA was infuriated.</p><p id="">“From a brand-owner perspective, the reasoning which has led us to put pressure and hold to account platforms on hate speech and harmful content should also apply to a media owner,” wrote Loerke. “We’ve always made it clear that the standards which we (GARM) want to see platforms enforce should be valid irrespective of media (even if [the media] has widespread popular support).”</p><h2 id="">Bad reviews were also labeled ‘misinformation’</h2><p id="">GARM worked with the European Union to develop a definition for misinformation. Both entities defined the word as “the presence of verifiably false or willfully misleading content that is directly connected to user or societal harm[.]”</p><p id="">However, GARM did not only seek to censor political “misinformation.” Unilever, for instance, complained to TikTok that a user had called one of its shampoos “straight dish soap,” which the corporation felt qualified as misinformation.</p><p id="">‍</p>

<p id="">British citizens are outraged at the Metropolitan Police’s recent decision not to charge rappers who openly urged fans to murder Right-wing politicians, while Brits who post “offensive” social media content languish in prison.</p><p id="">In November 2023, members of the far-Left Irish rap group Kneecap told fans during a performance: “Kill your local MP. The only good Tory is a dead Tory.” But the Met Police have recently decided not to charge the group under domestic terrorism laws because the statute of limitations has lapsed, <a href="https://www.irishtimes.com/world/uk/2025/06/29/terrorism-inquiry-into-kneecaps-alleged-call-to-murder-tory-mps-dropped-met-police-confirms/" id="">according</a> to <em id="">The Irish Times</em>.</p><p id="">“A range of offences were considered as part of the investigation. However, given the time elapsed between the events in the video and the video being brought to police attention, any potential summary only offences were beyond the statutory time limit for prosecution,” police said in a statement.</p><p id="">“Relevant indictable offences were considered by the investigation team and, based on all of the current evidence available, a decision has been made that no further action will be taken at this time.”</p><p id="">The group was charged for displaying Hezbollah’s flag at another performance, with band member Liam O’Hanna allegedly shouting “Up Hamas, up Hezbollah!” The charges are likely to be dropped following last week’s hearing in which O’Hanna’s lawyer argued that the six-month statute of limitations had expired. It is highly unlikely that O’Hanna will face any prison time.</p><p id="">Meanwhile, UK citizens like Lucy Connolly are in prison for offending migrants on social media. Connolly, the wife of Right-wing politician Ray Connolly, is serving a 31-month sentence for a tweet. After Axel Rudakubana, the son of Rwandan migrants, stabbed three little girls to death in Southport last summer, Connolly posted a furious tweet calling for mass deportations.</p><p id="">“Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f****** hotels full of the bastards for all I care ... if that makes me racist so be it,” she wrote on X. She deleted the post three and a half hours later, but not before it was reposted 940 times and viewed 310,000 times. She was sentenced to prison for racism, where she has <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14842465/Wife-Southport-councillor-jailed-racist-tweet-mistreated-prison-officers.html" id="">reportedly</a> been beaten and badly mistreated. Prison guards have placed her under 23-hour lockdowns with violent convicts. A judge denied her appeal last month.&nbsp;</p><h2 id="">Two-tier policing</h2><p id="">The Labour government has been accused of two-tier policing, even earning Prime Minister Keir Starmer the nickname “Two-Tier Kier.” Last year, for example, 37-year-old Shaun Tuck was <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-merseyside-68438322" id="">jailed</a> for 15 weeks for a social media post that police considered racist. Thirty-four-year-old Sam Melia was <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leeds-68448867" id="">sentenced</a> to two years in prison for selling anti-immigration stickers. But twenty-one-year-old Hamoud Al Soaimi, a Syrian Muslim who participated in the repeated gangrape of a 13-year-old girl while in his teens, was <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-tyne-68446855" id="">sentenced</a> to just 180 hours of community service. Similarly, in 2023, a 20-year-old woman named Husina Hussain, who drunkenly assaulted a bowling alley employee and shouted racial slurs in public, <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/uk-drunk-woman-who-assaulted-employee-shouted-racial-slurs-gets-religious-exemption" id="">avoided</a> having to wear a sobriety ankle monitor because she was Muslim.</p><p id="">Last year, the Labour government drew criticism for cracking down on anti-immigration riots triggered by the Southport stabbings while allowing Muslim rioters to rampage freely. White British rioters were <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/british-man-arrested-for-expressing-support-for-riots-online" id="">imprisoned</a>. Prime Minister Starmer promised to increase surveillance and censorship to clamp down on the “far-Right.”</p><p id="">Meanwhile, police were noticeably absent when hundreds of migrants, mostly Muslim men, attacked a bar, destroyed cars, and chased down journalists. In a similar incident last year, West Yorkshire Police <a href="https://www.thegoldreport.com/news/british-police-show-up-for-pride-parade-after-fleeing-from-migrant-riots" id="">fled</a> from a 2,000-strong mob of Muslim and Romanian rioters who destroyed a police vehicle and set a bus aflame. Police officers on the scene took flight, saying afterward they had been met with “a barrage of bricks and missiles.” The police remained largely absent for several hours as the rioters set fire to the neighborhood. Firefighters refused to enter the area, fearing for their own safety.</p><p id="">A “number of people” were arrested in connection with the riot. According to independent journalists, one of those was a British woman who was arrested on the spot after making “racially insensitive” remarks about the rioters.</p><h2 id="">Two-tier sentencing</h2><p id="">In March, the UK’s Sentencing Council <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/03/06/robert-jenrick-launches-bid-overturn-two-tier-justice-rules/" id="">recommended</a> that judges consider giving lighter sentences to minorities and women. The council issued guidance instructing judges to order a pre-sentence report if an offender is a religious, racial, or gender minority. A pre-sentence report lobbies the court for a more lenient sentence by describing the hardships a particular offender may face if they receive jail time. The Sentencing Council said a pre-sentencing report should be produced if a convict is “an ethnic minority, cultural minority, and/or faith minority community.” The guidance specifically says that women, people who identify as transgender, and young adults aged 18-25 are among the groups who should benefit from pre-sentence reports.</p><p id="">‍</p>
